Dr. Pierquet was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1984, he graduated with highest honors and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Dr Pierquet received his dental degree from Marquette University where he graduated second in his class, and was awarded membership in the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. He practiced dentistry for 27 years in Howard, Wisconsin before selling his practice in 2012 to take a year off for traveling and adventure.
Dr. Pierquet has extensive training in most areas of dentistry with emphasis on comprehensive health centered care, advanced cosmetic dentistry, and bite related problems.
Dr. Pierquet is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, fishing, kayaking, grouse hunting with his trusty bird dog, and just enjoying all of the activities that the great state of Wisconsin has to offer.
A few fun facts about Dr. Pierquet:
What is your favorite food? – I try to eat healthy most of the time, and though red meat gets a bad rap sometimes, I do enjoy a nice big steak on the grill.
What do you like to do in your spare time? – I like to read and write. I also enjoy photography, and of course any outdoor activities.
What is your favorite TV show? – I don’t watch much TV, but I almost never miss a Packer Game.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why? Or, of the places you’ve traveled what was your favorite and why? – I’ve been going to Montana for over 20 years and it’s one of my favorite places.
If you could meet anyone from past or present who would it be and why? – Vince Lombardi. He was an interesting character, and he seems to have had a positive impact on the lives of so many of his players. I think he would be an interesting guy to talk about life with.
What is it about dentistry that you love? – I like many things about dentistry, but my favorite thing is when I get to create a new smile for someone, because it can make a huge difference in improving their life.
Dr. Feit was born and raised near Wausau, Wisconsin. In 1998, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Wyoming. Dr. Feit received his Dental Degree from Creighton University Medical Center’s School of Dentistry in 2004. While at Creighton, he was President of the Dental Student Union, awarded membership in the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, awarded Membership in the Pierre Fauchard Academy for outstanding academic achievements in dentistry, and awarded membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Feit practiced dentistry in Green Bay before he relocated to Sturgeon Bay. In March of 2008, Dr. Feit assumed his current dental practice, Dentistry by Design in Sturgeon Bay, when Robert J. Schrank, DDS, retired. Additionally, Dr. Feit added Dentistry by Design locations in Sister Bay in 2012, and Algoma in 2015. Dentistry by Design emphasizes comprehensive and advanced dental care. To be able to provide this level of care, Dr. Feit has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education since graduating dental school. He has studied TMJ/bite problems at the Pankey Institute, Dental Implants at the Misch International Implant Institute, as well as countless other topics. In June of 2013, he received Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Feit completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD.
Dr. Feit is a firm believer in giving back through dentistry. While living in Green Bay, Dr. Feit participated as a member on the Board of Directors, as well as being a practitioner, for the Brown County Oral Health Partnership. The Oral Health Partnership delivers free dental care to underserved children using mobile dental equipment in school settings. Dr. Feit was also a member of the NEWAHEC Board of Directors. This board was responsible for distributing grant money to fund programs encouraging minorities to choose careers in healthcare. Dr. Feit has been active in advocating for patient care at the state level and was the recipient of the WDA Pyramid of Pride Award for Political Action following his run for the State Assembly in 2012.
Since moving to Sturgeon Bay, Dr. Feit provides dental care at Ministry Door County Medical Center’s ER and OR Departments on an as needed basis. Currently, Dr. Feit is on the Wisconsin Dental Association’s Practice Transitions Committee. Dr. Feit is also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Brown-Door- Kewaunee Dental Society.
Dr. Feit has been married to his wife Jillian for over 18 years. They enjoy traveling with their two children Henry and Claire. Dr. Feit is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing (although he is admittedly not very good at it), hunting, hiking and flying.
A few fun facts about Dr. Feit:
What is your favorite food? – Enchiladas with green sauce. I ask for the special sauce they hide in the back because it is too hot for the average American. When I break a slight sweat while eating the enchiladas I know they are “just right”!
What do you like to do with your spare time? – Anything outdoors. My top choices are pheasant hunting and farming.
What is your favorite TV show? – I actually go weeks at a time without watching any TV. The exception of course, is during Packer season. Go Pack!
If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why? Or, of the places you’ve traveled what was your favorite and why? – The time I spent in Wyoming at school with my Wife is as unforgettable as any. Wyoming has our hearts.
If you could meet anyone from past or present who would it be and why? – Einstein for sure. I would like to ask him what on earth happened to his hair!
What is it about dentistry that you love? – Every day I meet new people and conquer new challenges. It is never the same day twice.
